Our History

 

We are a family-owned hotel that has been providing guests with a unique and welcoming experience since 1983.Our founders, Joe Mugambi and his wife Mary Mbuki, started the hotel as a simple cottage where Joe and his friends could gather in the evenings, almost like an extension of his home. It was just one self-contained room, but over time, it grew. 

 

Soon, there were two rooms, then three, and now, Lions Court has grown into a beautiful and modern hotel with six fully furnished one-bedroom cottages with kitchenettes, five deluxe suites that are also fully furnished with kitchenettes, and 15 modern standard rooms that cater to guests who prefer that style of room.  We take great pride in the history of our hotel and the way it has evolved over the years. From a simple cottage to a thriving hotel, we have always strived to create a welcoming environment that feels like a home away from home for our guests.
